Summary
The events that led to the civil war are the Bleeding Kansas, John Brown’s Raid and Missouri Compromise. The Bleeding Kansas was a war over power in Congress and slavery. John Brown’s Raid was when John Brown led his followers to capture the US Armory and Arsenal to instigate a major slave Rebellion in the South. The Missouri Compromise was an agreement between the North and South and passed by congress in 1820 that allowed Missouri to be admitted as the 24th state in 1821.
